The Bluegrass Basset Rescue

This weeks SOTW is none other than the Bluegrass Basset Rescue of Kentucky. Though I am a bit bias on choosing this site, it's still a great place to go if you're looking to adopt a Basset Hound in the Kentucky area.

Why am I bias you ask? Well, you see, I also work with BBR on several levels. Not only do we foster for them, but I also developed and host their web site. We've been working with BBR for quite some time, about three years now or so.

But enough about all that. BBR was chosen beyond the fact that I work with them, but because the rescue as a whole is an overall great place. BBR has placed MANY hounds and frequently takes in needy pups, even to the point of crouding. They really try and save as many Basset Hounds as possible.

BBR is made up of a network of volunteers, of which no one is paid, not even myself. The volunteers take on the job of bringing the hounds in, taking care of their medical and social needs as well as placement. On top of that is maintaining the web site, which I made as easy as possible for them.

They're also a 501(c3) Non-Profit rescue, so if you would like to donate you can count on the fact that you can take it off your taxes.

So, this week the Bluegrass Basset Rescue is who shined the most and is our Site of the Week.
