Hartz To Pull Cat Flea DropsJune 14, 2005A controversial flea and tick protection product for cats has been pulled from the market. Hartz has agreed to re-label or stop selling some of their 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 Advanced Care flea and tick drops for cats and kittens. This move is in reaction to concerns raised by the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA has reported that a chemical within the product can cause hair loss, tremors and can lead to death in some smaller cats. Hartz says that they are working on a replacement product. Hartz has been under presure for quite some time since they came out with the product about four years ago. A website was even created to pressure them to withdraw the drops.
